Music, Makers & Machines - Google Arts & Culture and YouTube
We were very happy to be asked to collaborate on Music, Makers & Machines, a new immersive online exhibition from Google Arts & Culture and YouTube which celebrates the history of electronic music: its inventors, artists, sounds and technology.
We worked with Google Arts and Culture to adapt our bestselling Electric Love Blueprint into an interactive educational resource for the exhibition, telling three stories: The Early Pioneers from Daphne Oram to Wendy Carlos; The Instrumental Instruments from Leon Theremin to Bob Moog; and, The Pioneers of Dance Music from Lee Scratch Perry to Daft Punk.
The online exhibition, which launched in Spring 2021, is a result of a collaboration between Google Arts & Culture and over 50 other international partners, including museums, collections, record labels, festivals, experts, pioneers and artists like Dorothy who have contributed stories, videos, images and interactive works exploring the the history and legacy of electronic music.
You can happily loose a few hours of your life by checking out Music, Makers and Machines here and you can buy the original Electric Love Blueprint on which the resource was based here.
