Just like the planets orbit the sun and the moons orbit the planets, our new Alternative Solar System print maps out the massive pull and influence that bands like the Beatles, the Velvet Underground, Ramones, Hüsker Dü, The Clash and Nirvana have had on each other and the bands around them.
At the centre of our Alternative Solar System shining brightly are the Beatles, being closed orbited by The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground and David Bowie.
Further out the Ramones are their own planet of punk, closely orbited by New York Dolls, Television, Talking Heads, Patti Smith and Blondie. And on the edges of the solar system you'll find planet Nirvana, keeping company with the Pixies, The Breeders and Sonic Youth.
Joy Division are a cluster of asteroids making their own path around the sun and Jimi Hendrix is a comet, blazing across the obits of other guitar legends Led Zeppelin, Cream and The Yardbirds.
